Puppet Theatre is a new idea currently unfolding through sketches and drawings, as I gather materials and follow emerging threads of thought. It feels less like something planned and more like something quietly assembling itself in the background.
I experience it as a kind of threshold, a beginning that is still uncertain, but insistent. It is the first larger body of work I am attempting since stepping beyond the familiar ground of London. After a series of early experiments and shifting ideas, this feels like the opening of a new chapter, or at least something that carries that sense of becoming.
The sketch is composed of eight panels (27 × 35 cm each) offering the viewer the possibility to choose their own composition and order. In this way, the work remains open, shifting depending on how it is arranged and read.
